Homemade pesto is simple and refreshingly delicious! Enjoy over your favorite pasta or as an easy appetizer with toast.
Ingredients
2 cups fresh basil, packed
1/2 cup grated Parmesan Reggiano cheese
1/2 cup olive oil
1/3 cup pine nuts
3 garlic cloves, minced
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Directions
In a food processor or hand blender, pulse together basil leaves and pine nuts.
Add the garlic and cheese and pulse until combined.
Add in the olive oil and pulse until combined, making sure to scrape down the sides. If too thick, add more olive oil.
Stir in salt and pepper to taste.
Enjoy on your favorite pasta, as a delicious snack on toast, or as an addition to an epic charcuterie board.
